Hoffman Estates Animal Hospital

Dr. Behm received both her Bachelor of Science in Animal Ecology and her DVM from Iowa State University. In school she volunteered for the Feral Cat Clinic and local shelters. She has been a member of AVMA since vet school. During vet school she was able to spend 4 weeks at the Small Animal Teaching Hospital in Hannover, Germany and 2 weeks at the Agricultural Veterinary School in Beijing, China. Both experiences showed her that the human-animal bond is important throughout the world.

Dr. Behm has been practicing at Hoffman Estates Animal Hospital since June, 2007 and she enjoys doing soft tissue surgery and is interested in neurology.

She was recently married to her best friend, Scott, and they now share their home with two miniature dachshunds, Simon and Genevieve (aka "Mop") and three cats, Orangey, Stormy and Singe!  Singe was rescued from an abusive situation but is happy and healthy today.   In her spare time she and her husband enjoy traveling, biking and swimming.  Dr. Behm has wanted to be a vet since she was 6 years old and can't remember wanting to be anything else!
